Introduction to Hydronic Floor Heating
Hydronic floor heating is the oldest way of heating spaces, as dates back to the Romans who used hot water under the floor to heat up the room above. Then from the 1970's it became popular in Europe and with the introduction of Plastic Pipes PEX (Cross-linked Polyethylene) into the floor heating industry it became even more common due to long lasting life of the pipes. Recently, more accurate control systems maximize efficiency, and offer the option of variable temperature controls in each room individually. Unlike forced air systems that moves the dust around the house, floor heating is clean, quiet and healthy. (Reduces molding)
Hydronic floor heating has become more popular in Canada in the basements of custom built houses, turning the basements into comfortable livable and usable spaces. |
Why Smart Hydronics? What makes Smart Hydronics distinguished from other companies is being exclusively and professionally focused on in-floor hydronic systems. As you know floor heating is all about being energy efficient. We, at Smart Hydronics use a software to calculate the exact heat loss of the building and design the loops with a snail pattern to maximize the efficiency. This method plus using top quality material results in a more even heat distribution and more accurate temperature control leading us to assurance in providing the best for our clients.
